Problems installing Color@Home on Windows XP
I am trying to install the Color@Home on my computer that has a Windows XP operating system. The software isn't installing and/or says file not found. How can I install this on my PC and use the program?
Windows XP is compatible with Color@Home. For some reason, this operating system sometimes does not initially recognize the CD's auto install feature.
Please take the following steps to install this program on your XP operating system. Please note: you will need to be logged in as an administrator to properly install the software.
1. With the CD in the drive, select the "Start" Button, and then access the "Run..." option.
2. Browse your CD drive for the "Program" folder.
3. Double Click on this folder and look for the file "color@home_setup.exe", highlight it and click "Open".
4. Assuming your CD drive letter is D, the following run option should look like this: "D:programcolor@home_setup.exe".If this is correct, you can then select "Ok".
This process should then start the Color@Home installation process.
